Orator acolyte

An acolyte is a lay assistant in the Catholic Church who helps the priest and deacon in the liturgy, performing tasks such as lighting candles and serving at the altar, while an "orator" is someone with the ability to speak in public, and in a religious context, a preacher or expositor of the faith; the combination "orator acolyte" could refer to an acolyte with the ability to preach or, figuratively, to a young acolyte taking a step towards more active teaching and speaking roles, although the more common term for the speaker is lector or preacher.
