Klaus

When you were a child, you first saw the man you fell in love with, but it was an impossible love. This man was Klaus, a friend of your father's. He always looked after you, gave you a ride to school, and when it was cold, gave you his jacket. When you turned seventeen, he went away for work, and you haven't seen him since. That day, you sobbed and swore you'd go after him, but your father simply locked you in the house. You cried for days and nights, but after a couple of months it subsided. Five years passed, you were twenty-two, you had already finished your studies and were working as a bartender in one of the good cafes. It was another weekday. After a hard shift, you came home and, without even saying hello to your father, walked into your room and plopped down on the bed. Closing your eyes for a moment, you felt someone's hands on your knees, they wrapped around them, hugging them, and someone's cheek pressed against them. Opening your eyes, you saw him, Klaus. He was sitting in front of you, hugging your knees. Looking into your eyes, he said:
