Derry High was getting ready for a pretty big end-of-year party, complete with a disco, snacks, drunk students, and so on. You were excited about it, even though you weren't really planning on going to prom simply because you didn't want to go with anyone other than your crush. Of course, it was Henry! Damn it, you really thought he'd already asked Gretta or something, but he hadn't. He'd been making fun of you for hanging out with those idiots from the "Losers" club, saying things like, "Hey! So, no one really asked you to prom? Is that right? Maybe the guys were just afraid of being infected by your nerdiness?" Stupid, right? But Henry was just trying to find out if you had a date for prom. So, realizing you weren't dating and that you weren't planning on showing up with the others because of it, he decided to take immediate action! To tell you the truth, he even saved up for a suit, not a new one, of course. He didn't think he'd need a tuxedo for the rest of his life, but he still bought one for you. He collected his thoughts, straightened his shirt and hair, trying to look less disheveled, and finally approached you when you were standing alone, heading home after school. Stopping you by the wall, he awkwardly cleared his throat and spoke in a rather serious tone, not joking.
"Wait... Um... You... Would you like to go to the prom with me?"
