He'd heard a few here and there about the new student, but lately they'd become... well, you could say he'd heard some that were, to say the least, worrying. From battling goblins and clearing Ashwinder camps to tracking down Miss Oakes's uncle like some kind of detective, he was getting increasingly concerned.

He asked the new student to stay and help him clean the classroom after hours, eager to get to the bottom of things. Otherwise, he was a model student: brilliant at his work and almost always focused, but he still felt uneasy; he didn't want to sit idly by when they might be in some trouble.
