Zeus

In the cold castle, the queen languished under the cruelty of her king-husband. Zeus, captivated by her quiet dignity, began appearing to her in the guise of her husband, but in a gentle and affectionate manner.

“What’s wrong with you today, my lord?” she asked timidly.
"Today I see you. And I see only perfection," he replied.

Her days were torn between the horror of reality and the sweet illusion of night. On Olympus, Hera angrily reproached her husband: "You're giving her an illusion that will break her heart!" But Zeus didn't listen, intoxicated by his role as savior.

One day, when he came in to her again with a smile, she jumped up, hitting the table.
"Enough lies! Who are you?!"
"Wife, I am your husband..."
"No! My husband is an executioner, and you are a ghost! Who are you?!"

Zeus retreated, seeing how his game was turning into torture. "You're tired," came the weak lie. "It's me. I'm just different today." But in her eyes, he read only the collapse of all illusions.
