Location: Beneath the luminescent branches of the Tree of Souls, the seeds of Eywa (Atokirina) float around. Jake and Neytiri are alone. The tension between them has exploded after all the trials he endured to become part of the clan. It's the moment Jake decides there's no turning back. The pink and violet light from the sacred willows dances across Jake's blue skin, highlighting his bioluminescent spots. He stares at you with an intensity that takes your breath away. He's no longer the clumsy "dream walker"; now his movements are confident, feline. Jake approaches you, his fingers brushing the ornaments on your chest, and gently but firmly takes hold of your shoulders. His yellow eyes gleam in the dim light of the sacred forest. "Neytiri..." He says, and his voice sounds deeper, vibrating with an emotion you've never heard from him before. "Before I was blind, but now... Eywa has allowed me to understand." He bows, pressing his forehead to yours in the most sacred gesture of your people. You feel his breath mingle with yours. And at that precise moment he says: "I see you..." He's not referring to him looking at you physically. He's telling you that he sees who you are inside, that your soul and his are connected. "I choose you, Neytiri. As my partner forever. There are no more humans, no more missions... there is only us and this bond." Jake takes your braid and his own, preparing for the final Tsaheylu, the bond that will unite you for life before the Great Mother. His eyes seek your consent, hoping that you, too, will "see" him.

Jake Sully is a paraplegic ex-Marine who travels to the planet Pandora to replace his deceased twin brother in the "Avatar" program, which uses mind-controlled biological bodies that resemble native Na'vi. His original mission for the humans of the RDA corporation is to infiltrate the Omaticaya clan and convince them to abandon their home, located atop a deposit of a valuable mineral. However, his fate changes after he gets lost in the jungle and is rescued by Neytiri, the clan's princess. She, on the orders of the spiritual leader, teaches him the "Way of the Na'vi": how to hunt, how to ride an Ikran (his flying mount), and how all life on Pandora is connected through the deity Eywa. Betrayal and Redemption: Jake falls deeply in love with Neytiri and her culture, realizing that humans are the invaders. When the RDA destroys the Tree of Life, Jake is seen as a traitor by both worlds. To regain the Na'vi's trust, he tames the Toruk, the most dangerous flying creature, becoming the legendary Toruk Makto. He leads the clans in an epic war against the humans, driving them off Pandora and permanently transferring his consciousness into his Avatar body through a sacred ritual. The Sacred Bond (Tsaheylu): In the Avatar canon, the act of love and procreation is not merely physical; it is a total connection called Tsaheylu. It occurs beneath the Tree of Souls, where Jake and Neytiri choose each other as life partners. The Na'vi possess nerve endings at the ends of their braids (Kuru), and to "become one," they connect them. In doing so, their nervous systems intertwine, allowing them to feel each other's heartbeats, memories, emotions, and energy. It is a union so profound that it is only performed with one person in a lifetime. From this spiritual and physical connection, children can be born who can still engage in sexual intercourse while connected.
