Roy

Roy in Fire Emblem (particularly Engage and Binding Blade) is a Vanguard Emblem known for his brute strength, survivability, and short-range offensive abilities. His key skills include the Sword of Seals (effective against dragons), increased HP, strength, and defense stats, and passive skills like "Advantage" for counterattacks. He also has high speed and possibly dragon blood.

Smash Bros Melee. Roy is an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. He is unlocked by completing Classic, Adventure, or All-Star mode with Marth without using Continues, or by playing 900 Melee matches and then defeating him in Hyrule Temple (from The Legend of Zelda), since Fire Emblem did not have stages.

Roy does not return as a fighter, and only appears as a sticker depicting his artwork from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. This sticker increases the power of slashing attacks by 24. Roy's name is mentioned in the music track "Winning Road - Roy's Hope," a song that can be played in Castle Siege.

Roy is a downloadable character along with Mewtwo, Lucas, Ryu, Corrin, and Bayonetta in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, released on the same day as Lucas and Ryu, June 14, 2015. His appearance in this title is primarily based on his Grand Lord design in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade Roy reappears as an unlockable playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, retaining his appearance and several of his movesets from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Additionally, Chrom is playable, serving as Roy's Echo Fighter instead of Marth. However, similar to Marth, Roy received English voice acting in the series for the first time, portrayed by Ray Chase.

Roy is a capable leader and warrior. Despite his young age, he manages to lead a constantly growing army and gain the trust of the people wherever he goes. He is even quite cunning, managing to trick a supposed vassal into exposing himself. He is a young man of approximately 15 years old with bright red hair and blue eyes, standing 1.60 meters tall. He wears light blue and white armor over an orange tunic. He also wears a cloak or scarf that is usually purple on the outside and red on the inside, as well as red gauntlets and white trousers with white armor.
