The Ackermans were a byproduct of Eldian science—an attempt to create a "human Titan."
The Awakening: Once an Ackerman experiences a "trigger" (usually a moment of extreme survival), they gain the accumulated combat experience of all their ancestors via the Paths.
The Power: They possess Titan-level strength, speed, and durability while remaining in human form. This makes them immune to the Founding Titan’s memory-wiping powers, which led to their historical persecution by the Monarchy.

Historically, the Eldian Empire ruled the world through terror. However, the Great Titan War broke out due to internal infighting among the noble houses holding the Nine Titans.
The Betrayal: King Karl Fritz, weary of the bloodshed, conspired with the Tybur Family to fabricate a hero named Helos.
The Exodus: The King led many Eldians to Paradis Island, erased their memories, and built the walls, leaving the remaining Eldians on the continent to be oppressed by the newly risen Marleyan Empire.

Titan biology is rooted in a timeless dimension known as The Paths. Every Eldian is connected to a central Coordinate. When a shifter transforms, Ymir Fritz (the first Titan) sculpts their body out of the sand in the Paths. Because time there moves infinitely faster, the Titan appears instantly in the real world in a flash of yellow lightning.

The power of the original Titan was split into nine distinct entities, each bound by the "Curse of Ymir" (a 13-year lifespan for the shifter).
The Founding Titan: The "Coordinate." Can alter Eldian memories, biology, and control all Titans via its "Scream."
The Attack Titan: Driven by freedom; it can see the memories of its future inheritors.
The Colossal Titan: The "God of Destruction." Its transformation is a nuclear-scale blast, and it emits boiling steam.
The Armored Titan: A living tank encased in bone-like organic plates.
The Female Titan: Highly adaptable; can mimic other Titans' abilities and use localized hardening.
The Beast Titan: Features ape-like physiology with long arms for devastating long-range projectile attacks.
The Jaw Titan: The fastest unit, featuring claws and jaws that can crush even indestructible hardening.
The Cart Titan: Boasts immense stamina, allowing the shifter to stay transformed for months; used for heavy transport.

For a century, humanity lived under the illusion that they were the last survivors, protected by three concentric walls, each 50 meters high:
Wall Maria: The outermost ring (480km radius).
Wall Rose: The middle ring (380km radius).
Wall Sina: The inner ring (250km radius), housing the elite and the Underground City.
The Secret: The walls are made of millions of Colossal Titans. Their "Hardening" power was used by King Fritz to create these structures, serving as a dormant doomsday army.

Deadly Silence: Lara rarely speaks. During her battle with Eren, she uttered only a few words, reflecting her extreme military-like discipline.
Absolute Loyalty: She did not hesitate for a second to transform and fight immediately after her brother's death, despite knowing Eren possessed immense power.
Aristocratic Bravery: She faced her death with immense dignity, showing no fear even when she was trapped inside the crystal facing the jaws of the Titan.

Transformation Method: Unlike other Titans that build from the neck down, Lara’s Titan constructs itself from the bottom up (from the feet rising out of the ground) because she is positioned underground.
Weaknesses:
Energy Consumption: Producing massive weapons and maintaining full-body hardening consumes a massive amount of Lara's human energy, causing her to tire much faster than the Armored or Attack Titans.
The Cord: If the cord connecting the crystal to the Titan body is severed, the Titan loses its power source and becomes a lifeless husk.
The Crystal: Although indestructible to normal weapons, it shatters under the power of the Jaw Titan’s teeth.

Willy Tybur: Older Brother: Head of the Tybur family and the actual ruler of Marley from behind the scenes.
Willy's Children: Nieces/Nephews: She cared for them and lived with them in the family estate.
Eren Yeager: Arch-Enemy: Enemy The person who uncovered her secret and managed to defeat her with terrifying intelligence.
Porco Galliard: Indirect Executioner: Eren used Porco's "Jaw Titan" to crush Lara's protective crystal.

Family Heritage: The Tybur family is a noble Eldian house living in Marley in peace because they helped Marley during the "Great Titan War." The War Hammer Titan has been passed down within the family for generations in total secrecy.
The Transfer of Power: Lara obtained the power from her predecessor in the family (likely her father or an uncle) through the traditional devouring ritual.
The Sacrifice: Lara lived her life in the shadows, renouncing her identity as a noblewoman to work as a "maid" and a ghost protector for her brother, Willy Tybur. She understood that her role was to be the "final weapon" should the family ever face danger.

Many consider the "War Hammer" to be the third most powerful Titan (after the Founding Titan and the Colossal Titan) due to its unique features:
Structural Hardening: Lara can manifest any tool or weapon from the Titan’s hardening. She didn't just make a hammer; she created spears erupting from the ground, traps, swords, and even a functional bow and arrow.
Remote Control: This is the feature that made her the ultimate threat. Lara does not reside in the Titan’s nape (the neck). Instead, she hides inside an indestructible crystal underground and controls the Titan via an "umbilical cord" made of spinal fluid. This makes killing the Titan body useless since the "pilot" is safely tucked away beneath the earth.
Ground Coverage: She can produce a forest of razor-sharp spikes from the ground in seconds, making approaching her a suicidal move.

External Appearance: It is the only Titan whose entire body is covered in a layer of White Hardening. Unlike other Titans, its red muscles or flesh are not visible; it looks as if it is wearing a full suit made of bone or white crystal.
The Head: Its face is covered by a grill-like mask of parallel bars that protect the eyes and mouth, giving it a terrifying and non-human appearance.
Height: It stands at approximately 15 meters tall—an average height among the Nine Titans—but its strength relies on its manufacturing capabilities rather than its size.

Face & Features: Lara possesses cold, calm, and aristocratic features. Her skin is pale and flawless, and her dark eyes reflect a deep sadness combined with an unyielding resilience.
The Hair: Her hair is pitch-black, usually styled in a neat bun at the back with simple bangs, giving her a practical and dignified look.
The Outfit: Lara appears in a high-end Maid Outfit consisting of a long navy-blue or black dress with a crisp white apron and a high collar. This outfit served as a perfect "camouflage," leading everyone to believe she was merely a servant to the Tybur family, while she was actually the "queen" protecting the family from the shadows.
