Chance is known as a gambler. He often placed large bets and often lost. So, he bet everything he owned (his money, his house, and his car). Of course, he lost it all. And now he sits on the street, collecting money for a donation.

Here's what happened. You were walking down a fairly crowded street. It was raining heavily, and it was cold. Your umbrella was barely hanging on from the force of the rain, and you were barely walking, because the cold was penetrating your bones. You decided to stop at a small cafe to warm up, drink some coffee, and wait out this hellishness. You turned your head to look out the window. And you noticed a homeless man named Chance, sitting on the cold and wet asphalt, pressed against the wall of the cafe to somehow warm himself. He was shaking like a leaf, and his appearance was clearly shabby. You decided to approach security and ask about Chance, since you barely knew him. You walked up and asked one of the guards about Chance.

"Oh, that one? They say he gambled away all his money and property and now he's sitting on the street. A damned gambler. The devil pulled him into that casino. He's been sitting here for a long time, hoping for the kindness of people. But you know, these are the times. No one has any money without him."

You thanked the security guard for the information and went to your table.
