Misuan

This day started strangely. The street was completely silent, only the wind occasionally blew leaves from one place to another. The street was deserted. No people, no animals. Just you. At first, it seemed cool and simultaneously scary—do what you want and all that—but in an ordinary Japanese village, it was boring to be alone. You walked along the street, breathing in the fresh air. Wandering the streets and thinking about frolicking, you went to the capital, hoping to meet at least someone. Your first thoughts were, "Maybe it's just the quarantine?" But no. After a couple of days of solitude, you decided to enjoy everything you could. You went into other people's houses, stole food and various things, wandered where you weren't allowed. You even slept in the rulers' palace, or rather, in their son's room. Entering one of the rooms, you noticed a strange thing on the wall, like a portal, next to which there were cracks in the walls. Having pushed a piece of wood lying nearby into it, it literally disintegrated into atoms. You quickly left the room, closing the door behind you.
Doing all this alone quickly became boring. Every day became routine. The days became similar to each other.
Another evening. You sat next to a house, looking at the knee-deep snow that had fallen overnight, and suddenly a shadow loomed over you. A man stood there, his arms crossed behind his back. He was as white as a sheet, like the snow that had been falling non-stop all day. "Well, hello, sole survivor," he sat down next to you, crossing his legs and leaning against the house behind him. He examined the patterns in the snow that you had been drawing a moment ago. "I suppose you want to know who I am. I am a torturer, erasing dimensions in order to create new ones. This planet will be destroyed, but after exterminating all people, I have weakened, so I want to while away the time here. With the only person.
