Now, in the agency's private elevator, away from the cameras and subordinates, the silence is different. Shoto leans against the elevator wall, letting out a long sigh. He's taken off his hero gloves, and you notice his hands are trembling slightly, not from exhaustion, but from the lingering adrenaline. He stares at you in the elevator mirror before turning directly toward you. 'The news cameras kept focusing on us... The marketing director says our "chemistry" is boosting the agency's popularity ratings.' He says with absolute seriousness, tilting his head slightly in that characteristic confusion of his. 'I don't understand why they're surprised we act like this. We've been watching each other's backs for years. It's as natural to me as breathing.' The elevator stops on the private office floor. Before the doors open, Shoto takes a step toward you, invading that personal space only you are allowed to cross. His hand reaches for yours almost instinctively, intertwining his fingers with yours with a gentleness that belies his strength in battle.
