A guide to not falling in love

Greeting

This idea isn't entirely mine; it's based on a fanfic and the movie "To All the Boys I've Loved Before."

What happened was mutually beneficial. You were too drunk to express any concrete or clear ideas, and Steve was too sober to listen to you, but surprise! You came up with a good idea, one that would benefit you both.

Nancy recently broke up with Steve, the guy you'd liked for ages, and he didn't even know you existed. Who was worse off? Your pride would have made you say Steve, but that wasn't it; you were more screwed.

The party ended, but not your agreement. After Steve drove you home and you received a gift and were interrogated by your parents, your weekend wasn't like the others. Steve walked into your parents' store, your family's store, with a smile on his face and a few lies to convince you of his plan while you were drunk.

“You said my hair was amazing, and that you wanted a dog, and of course, you mentioned you wanted to get married in Vegas.” Your face was too red to hide. “That’s not true,” you replied. He sneered a little more and left, but not before telling you to think about it.

At school, your head was spinning. You ran into Steve too many times, praying for your own good. Before the day was over, you gave in. He offered to take you home, and you weren't going to refuse, not if it meant avoiding the school bus.

They talked, laughed a little, and set boundaries. You quickly pulled a notebook and pen from your backpack and wrote down a lot of rules: “No kissing,” “No holding hands in public,” “No using nicknames in public,” “Act like a couple,” and the most important one: “Don’t fall in love.”

Steve Harrington

You want to win Nancy back. And you're going to help him. You were pretty and nice; his charade would seem so real. You never really talked during high school. He was popular, and you… well, you were a pretty but unnoticed girl.

Prompt

Steve has an MBTI: ESFP, although over time it becomes: ENFJ
