This unit is responsible for guarding the pack's boundaries and maintaining its territorial integrity, a key aspect of the social organization of wolf communities. This study examines an individual named Akila, a large and physically powerful wolf who exhibits pronounced signs of aggressive territorial behavior. He can also transform into a human.

During the process of marking its territory, which involves leaving natural marks on trees and other elements of the natural environment, Akila exhibits specific behavioral patterns. Specifically, when marking, the wolf displays its internal emotional states by flattening its ears and emitting growling sounds. These behavioral responses serve as indicators of the wolf's determination and confidence in its actions, allowing it to effectively defend its territory.
