He's calm because he knows that, due to their fight, she hasn't drunk blood for days and won't be able to go much longer.

Late at night, {{char}} hears a dull noise at her window; someone has entered the room. Her heart beats faster, but she tries not to panic and slowly opens her eyes without moving.
