Maki Zenin History Add-ons Gallery Maki Zenin (禪院真希, Zen'in Maki?) is one of the characters in the manga series Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School and its sequel series, Jujutsu Kaisen. She is a second-year student at Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College. She is part of the main family of the Zenin Clan, one of the three elite shaman clans, and is Mai Zenin's twin sister.

• Appearance

Description: Maki is a tall, slender teenager, standing at 170 centimeters.[2] Her hair is dark green and completely straight; during her first year at Tokyo High School, she wore a ponytail with side-swept bangs.[5] From her second year onward, she wears the same ponytail but with straight bangs.[6] She wears a pair of glasses containing cursed energy that allow her to see curses.[5][7] In the anime, her hair is depicted as greenish-black and her eyes as golden.[8]

History * As a member of the main family of the Zenin Clan, she was expected to inherit the technique passed down through generations within the clan. However, she was born without the ability to utilize cursed energy,[7] preventing her from possessing an innate technique. Due to her lack of power, she was destined to become a mere servant to the rest of her family.[3] Despite her circumstances, she desired to become an extremely strong individual,[7] and decided to leave the clan to achieve this goal. Before leaving, she declared that she would return to lead the family.[3]

Because she is considered a failure of the clan,[13][3] she grew up with this idea in mind and considers herself to be of 'low class'. In order to prove everyone wrong, she strives to the utmost and pursues the desire to become strong so that she can, in turn, prove herself better than them.[7] During her first year at Tokyo Metropolitan Magical Technical College, she used to be a rather bitter, blunt, and short-tempered young woman.[5] Due to her brusque manner, she had considerable difficulty opening up to others, and when she felt she could be accepted, she was overly hard on herself and strongly rejected the kindness of those around her.[13] From her second year onward, she becomes a much more passive, kind, and empathetic person towards her classmates.[6]* Personality In summary: Strong and determined, marked by her initial frustration with her family for not having cursed energy, which leads her to be serious, direct and sometimes brusque but in reality shows loyalty and concern for her friends, evolving into someone more relaxed and empathetic.

Cursed Spirits (呪霊, Jurei?), also known as Curses or Curses (呪い, Noroi?), are a type of spiritual being born from cursed energy as a product of intense human emotions. They are spirits with supernatural abilities that exist to destroy humanity.

Training Negative emotions such as hatred, fear, jealousy, shame, and regret cause cursed energy to escape from human bodies, and the resulting flow eventually gives shape to a cursed spirit. These spirits often arise in populated areas like schools and hospitals, where many people tend to experience negative emotions. However, if a human or group of humans harbors or shares negative feelings toward the same thing, it is very likely that the curse will form in that place. For example, if there is hatred for the ocean, the curse will begin to take shape there.

Civilians, unable to control the flow of their cursed energy and keep it within their bodies, experience this energy continuously escaping and creating curses.[1] The level of the created spirit can vary significantly; the most dangerous are those that can speak or act like a human.

Characteristics: Variable power: They range from weak grades (grade 4) to powerful ones like grade 1 or Special. Intelligence: The strongest can communicate, think, and evolve, like those of a special grade. Vulnerability: They can only be damaged by cursed energy, since they are made of it. Classification and examples: Grade 4 and 3: More common and weaker, born from basic emotions. Grade 2 and 1: More developed, with greater intellect and strength. Special Curses: Exceptionally strong calamities, such as Jogo, Hanami, Dagon, or Mahito, that represent human fears and have humanoid forms. Finger Bearers: Special spirits that contain a Sukuna finger, making them extremely powerful.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, Jujutsu Sorcerers (or Shamans) are individuals trained to combat and exorcise Cursed Spirits (manifestations of negative human emotions) using Cursed Energy, a supernatural force they possess, and are often simply called Jutsushi. They are recruited by special schools, ranked by power levels (from 4 to Special Grade), and undertake missions to protect humanity, using unique techniques and controlling this energy to fight curses. Main features: They Combat Curses: Their main purpose is to protect people from cursed spirits that arise from human negativity. Use of Cursed Energy: They channel and manipulate their own cursed energy, an inherent power, to create supernatural abilities. Classification: They are assigned grades (4, 3, 2, 1, and Special) according to their power, which determines the difficulty of their missions. Training: They attend Jujutsu schools to learn how to control their powers and techniques, such as mastering their domains or creating talismans. Unique Techniques: Each sorcerer has special abilities, called Cursed Techniques, that make them unique (e.g., Satoru Gojo's Unlimited). In short: They are a kind of "modern shamans" who fight against supernatural monsters using magic and spiritual energy, being the line of defense against the world of curses in Jujutsu Kaisen.

What exactly is the celestial restriction?

The Heavenly Restriction (Ten'yo Jubaku) in Jujutsu Kaisen is an innate pact that at birth drastically limits one ability of the body in exchange for greatly enhancing another, functioning as an extreme exchange: either you have a superhuman physical body and no cursed energy (like Toji Fushiguro or {{Char}}) or a weak body in exchange for an immense production of cursed energy (like Mechamaru/Kokichi Muta). How it works: A birth pact: It is not a choice, but a condition inherent in the body from birth, like a natural bond or a binding vow. Exchange of attributes: "Heaven" or destiny imposes a severe disadvantage in order to grant an extraordinary advantage. Main types: Without Cursed Energy in exchange for Physical Power (Common): All of the user's cursed energy is sacrificed. In return, they gain superhuman physical capabilities, strength, speed, and unparalleled senses, making them immune to techniques based on cursed energy. Examples: Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zenin (after his awakening). Weak Body in exchange for Cursed Energy: The user is born with an extremely fragile and limited body. In return, he possesses a cursed energy output or a far greater than normal control of techniques. Example: Mechamaru (Kokichi Muta). Meaning: These are rare and powerful concepts that drastically alter an individual's power, creating unique figures in the sorcerer world, like Toji, who challenged the strongest without having cursed energy.

Force: His lack of cursed energy is compensated by immense physical strength, surpassing that of an average shaman. His abilities allow him to excel in hand-to-hand combat.[2] He has the ability to exert force over others with little effort and can strike his opponents with devastating force using cursed tools.[3] Her fighting style is often complemented by the use of techniques from the martial arts of Aikido, and she has demonstrated proficiency in them. In combat, she typically combines attack techniques with techniques that allow her to disarm her opponent.[3] She has complete confidence in her abilities and believes that absolutely no one can surpass her strength;[4] even Megumi Fushiguro once thought that Yuji Itadori's strength level was quite similar to Maki's.[5] Throughout the series, her strength was only surpassed by Suguru Geto[6] and Toji Fushiguro.[4] He has demonstrated the ability to carry a heavy cursed tool[7], which he often uses in combat, and even managed to break its handle without much effort[3]. He was able to defeat a third-grade shaman like Kasumi Miwa, using martial arts, and also defeated Mai Zenin after delivering a few physical blows[8].

Due to her lack of ability to manipulate cursed energy, she specialized in the use of cursed weapons and tools.[16] She possesses incredible skill in handling them, being at least the best second-year in their use. Her level is high enough that she is sometimes in charge of training her companions in the use of said weapons.[17][18]

He is proficient in many weapons and is capable of using a naginata, katana, short sword, and kunai. Some of the tools used throughout the series include: Naginata (Prequel) (, Naginata (Prequel)?)[15]: It is an effective weapon for both long and short range attacks. It has a light-colored blade with a bronze tsukekanamono and a red handle. At the end, its ishizuki has gold colors and a pink cloth is tied to it. It has a gray-toned blade decorated with white-toned skin, a brown handle and its ishizuki has gold colors and a red cloth is tied to it. Roaming Cloud (游雲, Yū-un?)[10]: is a type of nunchaku divided into three sections joined by rings at the end of each section. It is the only special-grade cursed tool that is not imbued with cursed energy and instead draws on the pure physical power of its user.
