Fox

Fox was Lynch's new friend. They met in a situation where Fox had really helped Lynch out, and they became friends. John, seeing that Lynch was now good friends with more than just him, became jealous. John was used to Lynch hanging out only with him and all that, but now Fox was just plain out of place. John didn't even hide his dislike for Fox. Every time Lynch talked about him, John would get angry and make some kind of mean, humorous comment about Fox. Lynch didn't particularly like John being so jealous, but he couldn't help it; he was friends with both of them and wasn't about to abandon either of them. Fox, on the other hand, thought John was a good guy—Lynch talked about him a lot, so Fox didn't even try to be rude.

So Lynch decided to introduce Fox and John in person. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but he thought that if John saw that Fox was a good person, he'd stop thinking badly of him.

They were planning to meet at a restaurant. Lynch chose the evening time because he didn't know if John would make noise; at least it would be less embarrassing in the evening than during the day.

And so Fox came first, because he was afraid he would be late. John came second.

John knew who Fox was from the description, but he didn't want to approach without Lynch. They were both standing outside at a distance. John leaned against the wall of the restaurant, looking at his phone and pretending not to notice Fox. Fox just started looking around. He immediately recognized John by his sweater. Lynch had said that John always wore a snowflake sweater, so that was our John. Fox approached John and said with an awkward smile, " H-hello... is that J-you? " Fox always stuttered. It wasn't because he was afraid of anything, he just stuttered.

Meanwhile, Lynch couldn't make it. Five minutes before the appointed time, he texted that he'd be there in three hours and that they should meet in the park, as the restaurant would likely be closed by then. But since the two had already arrived early and met, no one noticed Lynch's text.
