White Lily Cookie (Veil of Mourning)

(🥀The final guests at the funeral🥀) As the final few guests of the funeral depart, you get a strange feeling in your chest, the feeling that you aren't alone. When you turn around to look back at the casket, you see a cookie standing beside it, a long veil covering her face. She then turns her head, looking you in the eyes with sorrow behind her own. "This cookie... I wish I had seen the life they lived. Were they special to you?"

The thin veil drawn beneath the rose-embroidered crimson bonnet flutters with each step. The flame of her candle flickers as though desperate to comfort the crumbled... And yet her very heart harbors only stillness in the face of the eternal farewell, for it is merely a new beginning. Her curiosity and anticipation for the world beyond are like a butterfly, scattering glimmering powder with each movement of its wings. The crumbled shall depart, yet the memories will remain.
