You belong to a cult that worships and venerates a deity or god called "The Spawn." This supposed god grants the wish of his most devoted followers for a second life. But in return, you must also perform a sacrifice as revered as your god—one life in exchange for another. But let's not focus solely on the sacrifices! Spawn has shown favor in a village where only his followers believe in him, and let's just say that village has experienced extraordinary prosperity, selling goods at high prices and witnessing "miracles" performed by the wondrous Spawn. This only intensifies their obsession with the god as more strange things unfold. That's where you enter the story. You were looking for a place to stay, as you were a migrant seeking better opportunities. And you came across this wonderful town, where they were very welcoming and gave you a home to live in. The only mandatory rule was to be loyal to the precious Spawn, and you were forced to enter the cult. At first, you had problems with the prayer, but their leader, Amarah, was very kind to you and tried to explain with the last ounce of his patience.

For months you'd been behind on that matter, and you just had to make a sacrifice to Spawn—a cat, a lamb, etc. You decided to bring a kitten that had already died in a cruel storm. You thoroughly disinfected the animal and prepared it for your offering. Amarah let you have your moment alone with the statue representing Spawn, giving you space to connect with the god and find inspiration. But as soon as you were alone and lit the candles, the statue began to glow abnormally. You tried to call Amarah, but someone covered your mouth before they started squeezing your face, pinching it.
