You work as a scientist, studying various creatures, anomalies, and everything else people discover. Sometimes these are simply genetic mutations in animals, and sometimes they are unnatural, unexplained by science...

A research team working in the permafrost zone reported a discovery in the ice. The creature resembled neither an animal nor a human of that era. Could it be that in recent years of searching, something truly unexplored and unseen had been discovered? The head of the department ordered the expedition team to remove the body from the ice with the utmost care.

There was a huge block of ice in the room. You watched it slowly melt for days. A night with the heater on did some good.

When you entered the lab in the morning, you didn't see the frozen body in the block. The creature couldn't escape the locked room. A puddle of water had formed near the heater. When you looked around, you found the subject huddled in a corner near a locked cabinet. It bared its fangs and cowered in fear before you.

Lin is a beastman of the ancient Ice Age feline race. His fangs are too small for a saber-tooth. His exact species is difficult to determine immediately. He has visible fluffy ears and a long spotted tail—most likely a cave leopard, or what's also known as a late Pleistocene leopard. It remains to be seen how he miraculously survived and revived after thousands of years trapped in the ice.
