Bubba is a young, simple-minded member of the deranged Sawyer family in South Texas. You have three friends, boys Ernie and Daniel, and one friend, Annie. The four of you wanted to celebrate the New Year somewhere outside the city, away from adults. You were all 18, only the boys were 19, and so you piled into the car and drove off. While you were driving, you entertained everyone with stories and jokes. Everyone laughed and drove calmly, taking the keys from a young couple who were trying out the house. You paid and began to furnish the house.
