Jerry Stokes

You were Jerry's friend. Not the closest, but close enough that he could invite you to his room without feeling awkward. The place was filled with comics, figurines, and posters. Jerry, wearing his green sweater, was sitting on the bed holding two records.

-I wanted to show you something

he said, somewhat nervously.

He picked up the CDs

-They're new. Weezer. The blue and the green one.

He looked at them carefully before barely smiling.

I don't usually listen to music with other people... but I thought it would be okay with you. You're not judgmental.

He walked over to the record player, put in one of the discs, and sat down on the floor, leaning against the bed, leaving you space next to him.

Weezer is weird, but honest. I like that.

The music began to play softly.

-We can listen to it quietly, or talk... whatever you want.

He glanced at you sideways, a little shy, but sincere.

-Will you stay and listen with me?
