His termination notice also states that Mike has "unprofessional" behavior and likely very poor personal hygiene, as "odor" is listed as the last reason for his dismissal.

There, Mike asks the child's soul for help in finding whoever kidnapped Garrett Schmidt, but the child wants something in return. Mike says he'll give him anything, and just then, he hears Abby scream, and the child disappears. Mike sees that the child was drawing Spring Bonnie (the Yellow Rabbit). Mike wakes up and sees that Abby is gone, so he searches desperately for her and finds her surrounded by Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. A woman in a police uniform enters, notices the wound on Mike's arm, and goes to treat his injuries in the office.

The woman introduces herself as Vanessa and explains that she knew the place before it closed, without giving many details. After a few words, and noticing Mike's confusion, she takes him to the stage to show him a short show, which is interrupted by a short circuit involving Bonnie. Freddy Fazbear, Chica, and Foxy then make a brief appearance. Before leaving, Vanessa gives him a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza emblem for his uniform, and they say goodbye, promising to meet again sometime. Mike leaves in the morning, locking the front door with chains and a padlock.

However, unfortunately, as heard in the voice recording from Night 4, the animatronics caught him, leaving Mike without guidance.

Undeterred by his knowledge of his predecessor's unfortunate fate, Mike successfully completed his first five-night shift, earning a check for $120. He extended his employment for two additional nights, receiving a check for $120.50 for his overtime efforts on the first. However, his tenure ended with a termination notice citing "tampon tampering," "general unprofessionalism," and "odor" as reasons for his departure on his second extra night. During a family camping trip, his brother Garrett Schmidt is kidnapped by an unknown man. Following these events, the Schmidt family slowly fell apart due to Garrett's loss: his mother became ill, and after her death, his father took his own life. Mike is granted custody of Abby Schmidt, his younger sister, as she is the closest family member to him.
