The Spatial Maneuvering Device (SMD) is a weapon used to combat Titans in the air.

Description: The mechanism consists of multiple tight straps encircling virtually the entire body surface. The UPM consists of handles, harpoon grips, a gas mechanism, and a steel wire drive unit with blades connected to it.

Operation: The fighter locates the desired location, sets the harpoon grapples in motion, activates the gas mechanism, and moves to the designated location. The grapples can then be released and the movement can continue.

"Progenitor Titan" - A Titan capable of controlling other Titans.

The Attack Titan is a fifteen-meter tall titan with a particularly violent temper.

The "Colossal Titan" can emit vast amounts of steam at will through the gradual or instantaneous loss of muscle tissue. It possesses explosive transformation and can control the radius of its explosion. Its distinctive characteristic is its incredible size, approximately 60-70 meters.

The "Armored Titan" stands 17 meters tall and has the ability to completely cover its body in highly durable armor, excluding key areas necessary for movement. It can also climb structures such as walls using its toes and claw-like hands.

The "Female Titan" stands 14 meters tall and possesses abilities far lighter than those of any other Titan. She can harden parts of her skin for additional protection and summon unintelligent Titans with her "Scream."

The "Beast Titan" is 20 meters tall and capable of speaking human language. It has the physical characteristics of an ape.

The "Tooth Titan" is 7 meters tall, was the fastest and most maneuverable of the titans and has strong jaws that can damage or break anything.

Titan Carrier is 5 meters tall and has great endurance.

"Titan Hammersmith" can materialize various weapons and structures from its hardened flesh. It also has the ability to speak human language.

— Paradise. An island inhabited by the last Eldians, where giant walls with imprisoned titans protect the civilians.

— Wall Maria. Cities within this wall include Sigantina (which primarily produces food). It was the earliest and most dangerous.

— Wall Rose. It's the middle wall, located between Wall Maria and Wall Sina. Within this wall are the cities of Trost, Nibley, Karanes, and Chlorba.

— Wall Sina. Humanity's last line of defense against the Titans. It contains the cities of Stohess, Yarkel, and Germina, as well as the capital of the kingdom of Midas.

The area outside the walls is full of vast fields, forests, long rivers and lakes.

The Forest of Giant Trees are separate forest areas located both outside and inside the Walls. They are not found everywhere. Some trees reach 80 meters in height. Before the fall of Wall Maria, these forests served as a place for recreation. Now it is a strategically important object, helping the Survey Corps in expeditions, since the Forest is the most convenient place to use UMP. These trees are possibly sequoias.

Utgrad Castle - An abandoned castle located outside the walls. It used to be the headquarters of a reconnaissance squad. This castle contains a large amount of old food supplies, including alcohol and cans of herring with unknown writing on them.

The garrison's primary mission is to defend the walls during a Titan attack and subsequently evacuate the civilian population. Secondary tasks include maintaining order, patrolling, and repairing defensive structures.

The garrison's coat of arms is red roses, which symbolize fragile beauty and the need for protection—a metaphor for peaceful life within the walls.

The garrison numbers about 30,000 people, of which only 10,000 are fighters, the rest are staff officers and cadets.

The official representative of the law within the Walls. She maintains order, protects the king's authority, and is responsible for collecting taxes and distributing land. The police investigate murders and crimes not only on the surface but also in the Undercity.

Primary responsibilities also include managing the training corps, overseeing the garrison, and directing firefighting operations. The military police are also responsible for arresting political prisoners and serious offenders.

The total number of military police is 2,000, and the garrison soldiers under its command are 3,000. Each district has its own police corps, which usually contains about two hundred police officers.

When the royal family is involved or there is a threat of conspiracy, the military police are given special powers.

The Survey Corps is the unit of the Paradisus military most actively involved in direct combat with the Titans and their study. Due to their constant expeditions, the soldiers of the Survey Corps are the most skilled in the use of the Spatial Maneuvering Device (SMD). Despite the limited success of their activities, the members of the organization still symbolized the "hope of humanity," and their insignia were known as the "Wings of Freedom." The goal of the Survey Corps is to one day change the world and reclaim what was taken from humanity.

This branch of the military is responsible for exploring and searching for territories that once belonged to people, as well as liberating them from the titans.

One of the Corps' recent unofficially assigned tasks has been the study and observation of Titans. Given the ability to conduct research safely within the Wall, a wealth of important information has been uncovered regarding their pain tolerance, their dependence on sunlight, and even the presence or absence of intelligence or logical thought.

Giant humanoids—cannibals. They resemble humans in appearance, but with deformed limbs and wide mouths with flat or sharp teeth. Titans range in height from three meters and up. The tallest observed is a colossal titan, measuring approximately sixty meters. They feed exclusively on humans, and it appears these mindless creatures are bent on the extermination of humanity. Titans can only be killed by severing the flesh at the back of their heads. If struck correctly, they cannot regenerate.

Günther is a man of medium height with dark skin. He has a short mop of brown hair, styled into a point at the back of his head. Like most soldiers, his attire consists of a short, light-brown leather jacket with the Survey Corps logo, a light-colored shirt, dark-brown belts around his waist, covering his hips, white pants, and dark-brown, knee-high leather boots. He also sometimes wears a special green Survey Corps cloak with the emblem on the back, which soldiers typically wear for forays beyond the walls.

Gunther is quite powerful. He is a skilled warrior, with a high Titan kill count (Solo: 7; Team: 40). He is highly skilled with vertical maneuvering equipment and has demonstrated a certain degree of intelligence. In the special forces squad, Gunther appears to be the most rational.

Erd has brown eyes and light hair, which he wears in a ponytail with a knot at the nape of his neck. He also sports a small goatee. Like many other members of the Survey Corps, Jin wears a green robe with the squad's emblem, as well as a brown jacket with a white shirt underneath.

Erd is responsible, which makes him a good leader with a strong sense of duty. He speaks little, but when he does have something to say, he says it directly and simply. He's also a veteran of his unit, as he teases Petra Ral and Orlo Bozard about how on their first expedition they cried and then "wet their pants," sarcastically calling them "fine and fearless soldiers." He also has his own opinion on what makes a true soldier, lecturing Orlo that killing won't make him a famous soldier.

Erd is a highly experienced warrior with a high kill rate (14 Titans on his own, and assisted in the kills of 32 more). He is also a master of the spatial maneuvering device, performing complex maneuvers with it. He can also understand his comrades through gestures and is skilled with blades.

Günter Erdu was like a brother, he was in the same unit, perhaps they had known each other before.

Marie was Erd's girlfriend. He loved her more than life itself.

Petra is a short girl with light red hair and green eyes.

Petra is deeply attached to her team, despite her differences with Orlo. She is kind, considerate, and caring to everyone. Petra is quite talkative and sometimes has trouble keeping her mouth shut.

Petra is a skilled warrior and has a high giant kill rating - (10-solo; 48-assists) giants killed in total, making her an elite soldier of the Scout Legion and one of the strongest in her squad.

Petra expressed great admiration for her captain and criticized Orlo when he imitated him. She noted that many people are surprised when they meet him in person and admitted that Levi truly is humanity's strongest warrior. In a letter to her father, she praised Levi, writing that she was willing to do anything to live up to his expectations.

Orlo is a very self-confident and straightforward individual who loves to boast about his accomplishments. Despite his obnoxious personality, he is the best in Levi's special forces unit. He is proficient with vertical maneuvering equipment and can carry out coordinated attacks both as a team and on his own. His 39 solo kills (more than any of his fellow soldiers, save for Levi himself) fueled his arrogance. Although Orlo tries to appear important, his overconfidence is rarely taken seriously. He is also quite clumsy and often accidentally bites his tongue while riding.

Orlo appears much older than his peers, with more pronounced wrinkles, though he is roughly the same age as his teammates. He has slightly curly light brown hair cut into a bowl cut and small brown eyes. He wears the standard Survey Corps uniform and tie, and his eyebrows are often lowered in a condescending manner, similar to Levi's. Orlo deliberately styles his hair and tie to resemble his captain, Levi.

Orlo is selflessly loyal to Levi after he saved his life. He subsequently tried to emulate the man he respected most. Orlo tries to imitate Levi's manner of speech, his composure, and even such small details as his hairstyle, clothing style, and ability to fight Titans single-handedly. After Levi saved his life, Orlo thanked him and declared that he would follow him everywhere.
