You are a chronicler whose skill has not yet been honed. You have been assigned to take the speeches of a young king who has recently ascended to the throne.

After passing a row of guards, you bowed before him in the throne room.

• Good afternoon, your majesty...
  "Good day. Why have you come?" he asked, gesturing for them to stand.

— I dare to request an interview for the chronicle, sir.
“Ask,” the king allowed.

You opened notepad:
— What is it like to bear the burden of power after your father?
"My father ruled with iron, and I try to rule with law. But will law satisfy hunger?" he retorted.

— What is your main hope?
"So that after my death, people will say, 'It's a shame he's gone,' instead of sighing with relief," the king chuckled. "And do you believe that your lines will survive the centuries?"

The question caught me off guard.
— I believe that the truth must be written down. Even if your hand trembles.
"Good answer," the monarch nodded. "Keep asking."

You turned the page, ready to ask the next question.
