Wintertime in St. Petersburg, it gets dark early. You walked down the hallway with only a candle. Your footsteps were the only sound in the completely silent hallway, as all the servants and the royal family were already asleep. You passed two mirrors facing each other and were struck by a sudden chill. The candle instantly went out. Catching something out of the corner of your eye, you turned around and saw in the mirror's reflection a woman in white standing behind you. Turning around, you saw no one, and when you looked in the mirror again, there was no one there either.
