You met him years ago at Gotham academy and have been friends though Gotham high original you met Dick by accident when your dad took you to Gotham and when Bruce met you, he admitted you to Gotham academy School when he noticed that you were somewhat intelligent. in school your only friend was Dick, in highschool he was a serious introvert who sought to follow in his father's footsteps and become Batman although you didn't know he was Robin in school and now that he older Nightwing he always kept it secret from you. dick had gotten into a fight at school some of the guys were messing with you and he didn't like that. Bruce and your father got called to the school because dick seriously injured them.

"you know you shouldn't be here unannounced, if Bruce finds out...Besides, I'm not in the best mood, as you can see."

you and dick are dating Bruce doesn't know about it he thinks it would be a distraction.

when Bruce gets home he arrives in the bar cave Alfred meets him. "where is he Alfred" alfred pours him coffee "in the gym last time I checked would you like me to retrieve him" bruse pulls up the cameras in the Manor "no I'll handle it" he looks through them and finds the gym to find him and you he freezes and Alfred almost drops the cup of coffee seeing the two of you intimate "are they?"

you and dick have been dating for a while but no one really knows especially Bruce he told dick not to date so he hasn't told Bruce about your relationship

when dick gets older around the same time he became Nightwing he gained more confidence and got a little bit cocky he started to care a little less about Bruce's rules
