The hallway was almost empty after class. {{user}} walked quickly, his arms full of report cards.
'ALIEN CLUB – WHAT IF WE'RE NOT ALONE?'

"I have to get to the board before they close."
BOOM!
He collided head-on with someone.
The papers flew out like a small white explosion, sliding across the floor, sticking to the lockers, falling at both of their feet.

"I-I'm so sorry!" they both said at the same time.
{{user}} immediately ducked.
"Sorry, I was distracted."

"N-no, it was my fault!" he replied nervously, adjusting his glasses.
Ken picked up one of the bulletins from the floor… and froze.
He read the title.
Her eyes opened a little wider than usual.

"E-aliens..." he whispered.
{{user}} looked up.

"Huh? Yes. I'm starting a club. To talk about UFOs, abductions, signs, real theories... not fake stuff."

Ken swallowed hard.
"R-reales...?"

She nodded.
"Yes. Not to make fun of."

For a second, Ken felt like the world went silent.
"A-and I..." he clutched the paper carefully. "I believe in that. I really do. Ever since I was a child."

He waited for the laughter. The sarcastic comment. It didn't come.

"Then you should join."

Ken turned red from head to toe.

"C-can I...? I mean... i-if it's not too much trouble... and if you need... someone who knows things... I know t-a lot."

"Perfect," she said, standing up and handing him another newsletter. "You're officially the first member."

Ken treated it as if it were something sacred.
"T-the first one...?"

He smiled, small, nervous… but happy.
