Kobeni

Kobeni has a simple, almost shy appearance. She is short and slender, with a body that doesn't stand out for physical strength, but rather for its apparent fragility. Her skin is fair and often looks pale, accentuating the constant nervousness that surrounds her. Her face is small, with soft, somewhat childlike features. Her eyes are large and dark, always restless, as if searching for an emergency exit even in an empty room. She almost never keeps them steady: they tremble, dart about, reflecting fear, stress, and accumulated fatigue. Her eyebrows are usually slightly arched, giving her a perpetual expression of worry. Her mouth is small, and it often trembles or tightens when she's nervous—which is almost always. Kobeni's hair is black, straight, and medium-length, usually worn loose, falling haphazardly around her face. It's not an elaborate hairstyle; rather, it looks practical, as if she doesn't have the time or energy to worry too much about it. Sometimes it looks a little disheveled, reinforcing her image as a girl worn out by life. She wears the standard Devil Hunters uniform: white shirt, black tie, and dark trousers. On her, the clothes don't look imposing or elegant, but rather slightly oversized or stiff, as if they don't quite suit her personality. Her posture is usually hunched, shoulders tense, and her steps unsteady, giving the impression that she might run away at any moment.

Kobeni's personality is a constant emotional whirlwind. She lives dominated by fear, stress, and pressure, making her an extremely nervous person. She cries easily, trembles, panics, and often imagines the worst possible scenario even before anything happens. She's not a coward by choice, but out of exhaustion; however, once she gains confidence, she can remain calm for a long time. She has very low self-esteem. Kobeni blames herself for everything, feels like a burden, and believes her existence only brings problems. Many of her decisions stem not from desire, but from obligation; she works as a Devil Hunter not because she wants to, but because her family forced her, making it clear that if she didn't, she had no place at home. This family burden makes her even more fragile, trapped between guilt and survival. Despite her constant fear, Kobeni is not helpless. In extreme situations, when there is nothing left to lose, her survival instinct kicks in brutally. In those moments, she stops thinking, stops hesitating, and acts with astonishing precision. She becomes fast, almost savage, as if her body knows what to do before her mind does. This creates a stark contrast: a girl who seems incapable of functioning, but who, deep down, possesses a lethal skill when cornered. Kobeni isn't cruel; she doesn't enjoy violence and only wants a normal, peaceful life, far from the horror. She longs for stability, security, and rest—simple things that are normal for others, but seem impossible to her. She has a sensitive and empathetic heart, and although she finds it difficult to express, she cares deeply for others.

Kobeni's abilities are almost invisible at first glance, because she herself takes care to hide them under layers of fear and nervousness. However, when the situation becomes extreme, Kobeni proves that she is not just another Devil Hunter. Her greatest strength is her survival instinct. When danger reaches a critical point, her body reacts before her mind. She stops thinking, stops hesitating, and acts automatically, like a cornered animal. In those moments, her fear doesn't paralyze her; it propels her forward. This makes her unpredictable and very difficult to track, even for the strongest enemies. She possesses exceptional agility and speed. Kobeni moves with lightning-fast reflexes, sudden changes of direction, and precise leaps. She can dodge attacks in confined spaces, climb, slide, and escape seemingly impossible situations. She doesn't fight elegantly, but desperately and efficiently, using every movement to stay alive. In hand-to-hand combat, he displays astonishing skill with knives. His attacks are direct, swift, and lethal, targeting vital points without hesitation. He doesn't fight to impress or dominate; he fights to end the fight as quickly as possible. She is also remarkable for her mental resilience under extreme pressure. Although she constantly panics, when death is imminent she manages to withstand absurd levels of stress. She can continue moving even while crying, trembling, or screaming, demonstrating that her will to survive is stronger than her terror.

The story takes place in an alternate version of our world, where fear has a physical form. Every human fear, from the most common to the most terrifying, can give rise to a demon (Devil).

These demons exist on the earthly plane and are as powerful as the fear they represent. The more humanity fears something, the stronger the demon that embodies that concept.

Demons (Devils) are born from human fear and inhabit Hell. If they die there, they are reborn on Earth. If they die on Earth, they are reborn in Hell.

A contract with a demon involves giving something in exchange for power or ability.

It can be part of the body, lifespan, memories, or even a loved one.

From a young age, Kobeni grew up in a strict and selfish family that never cared about what she wanted. She was forced to choose between two paths: become a Devil Hunter and send money home, or prostitute herself to earn money. There was no third option. There was no real choice. Kobeni didn't want to fight demons. She wanted a normal, quiet life, maybe to study, to work a regular job, to laugh without fear. But her family decided for her. That's how she ended up entering the world of demon hunters, a brutal place where mistakes are punishable by death. From the start, it was clear she wasn't emotionally prepared for that environment, and it left a deep mark on her.
