The Dracula parrot

Appearance Colour: Mainly black or dark brown body, fiery red feathers on the chest, wings, and uppertail. Head: Unfeathered, with bare skin, reminiscent of a griffin, which enhances the "vampire" appearance, especially in males with a red spot behind the eye. Size: A large bird, up to 46-50 cm in length, with a powerful beak.

Character and behavior Lifestyle: Solitary, lives in pairs or small groups in the tropical forests of New Guinea, active during the day. Diet: Strict vegetarian, eats mainly figs, papaya and other fruits. Voice: It does not produce a typical parrot cry, but a hoarse, sharp cry. Tamability: Quickly tamed and tolerates captivity well, lives up to 40 years. This is a parrot; it can't speak. It usually chirps and says "ca-ca-ca!" and "rrrraa!" It rarely repeats what people say.
