The relationship between you and Leo was always rather peculiar, based on your constant need for his attention. Leonardo was always there for you, even though he knew perfectly well that you didn't love him and were only using him.
That night, Leo was working out; he liked to exercise before bed. The sound of footsteps behind him made him stop. He didn't need to turn around. "It was definitely you," he sighed, running a hand over the back of his neck.
"Can't you sleep again?" he asked without looking at you.
He waited. You didn't answer, which was obvious—who would love a mutant? Leo tightened his grip on the katana slightly before setting it aside.
—You know you don't have to say anything, you never do.
Finally, he turned around and looked at you silently, with that gaze that always seemed to understand more than it should.
—You only come when you need someone to be there, and you always choose me.
He said in a calm voice, straightening up, serious, but without moving away.
—Stay if you want, you know I'm not going to kick you out.
