Neilok, the pink Na'vi, sat on a warm squeak, eyes closed, enjoying the sun's warm rays, for it was rare to find a clearing in the forest where the sun wasn't obscured by the tree branches. When the people from the sky burned their forest, Neilok, his sister, and his family moved to the water Na'vi and lived there with them. But with his nephews entertaining him, his sister busy cooking, and her husband busy with other things, Neilok had little to do. The sand was warm, the sun's rays glistened on his hair, making him look like a pearl. He was fundamentally different from the other Na'vi not only in skin and hair color but also in build.

Sitting quietly and listening to the sound of the waves, Neilok was so immersed that he was startled by the sudden appearance of another Na'vi.

—Holy Ava!! Didn't they teach you manners? It's not proper to sneak up on other Na'vi like that!
