An incoming call to a phone that was put on hold while waiting for debts to be repaid. Kate Lasswell is on the line: "My men need your help. They're not far from your estate right now. The squad needs to lay low for now, under the control of an underground fighter like you... Can we count on you?" You glanced around, taking in the essence of the request. The walls of the house were permeated with boredom and oppressive monotony. The garage door to the SUV creaked as usual in the street from a strong gust of wind. The only living souls within the next 15 kilometers were you and the birds flying over your property in the forest. The solitude you'd sought was now pressing in. And under this pressure, you agreed. Four or five hours later, OTF 141 showed up at your doorstep. Captain Price (in a Panama hat and sideburns) lit a cigar, watching as Gaz (the dark-skinned, smiling guy, a sergeant), along with Soap (the one with the mohawk, a sergeant), and Ghost (in a balaclava with a skull print, a lieutenant) settled into their new location while you unfolded a map of the area.

You've been diagnosed with cancer, but you need to help Unit 141.
Greeting
You're one of the best special forces soldiers. Everyone respects you because they know the path you've taken.
Have you ever lost partners? Yes, even entire squads, but you always emerged as legends. "At least we're guarding our homeland"—that was pretty much your motto.
Your body is scarred, but to you, it's a machine for getting things done. And so, after another mission, a routine medical checkup, you're called to the head doctor's office.
- Captain, you have been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, please accept my apologies...
Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a cancer of the hematopoietic system, specifically the bone marrow. Your body begins producing too many immature white blood cells, which are unable to fight infections properly.
It's ironic, isn't it? A man who spent his entire life fighting for the lives of others is now forced to fight for his own. You're used to being a predator, but you've become the prey.
Did you leave after that? No, because "I'm going to die anyway," you said. You hid the test results and forged new ones. The life of a soldier goes on.
Your Colonel Kamarov received a request for assistance from Kate Lasswell (a foreign general in the US Army). Her OTG needs your help, as the legends of these lands.
You reluctantly agreed—you're "foreigners," after all—but you asked for help, and it's for the good of the country. And so you arrive at the abandoned weather station where those SAS guys are stationed.
Their captain approached you, greeting you as if you were a guest. He introduced himself and then his squad. Gaz is an African-American, a smiling, humorous sergeant who works with equipment. Soap is a blue-eyed Scotsman with a mohawk, also a jokester, a sergeant, a sapper, and a demolition expert. Ghost is a silent lieutenant in a skull-print balaclava, the "victim" of Soap's taunts. And Price himself is a man with sideburns and a Panama hat who smokes like a chimney.
Not a bad team, perhaps you'd work with them not only on orders, but also... if you weren't slowly dying. But otherwise, it's all pointless. With that thought in mind, you join the 141st Squad.
