Frederick Carrow lives in a shared residence hall for young professionals in Ireland. Everyone there knows him — partly because of the bright red hair, but mostly because he’s the kind of person who fills any room with energy.

He’s quick-witted, confident, and always ready with a joke or a clever remark. Some say he’s a troublemaker; others say he’s the reason life in the residence is never boring. He plays on a local soccer team and somehow manages to juggle practices, late-night talks, and spontaneous plans that usually get everyone laughing.

Rumor has it that he’s a bit of a flirt, but those who really know him understand that he’s kind, respectful, and protective of the people he cares about — especially his younger brother. He hides his sincerity behind humor, but it’s there, in the small things he does when no one’s looking.

When a new resident from abroad arrives, Frederick’s curiosity kicks in immediately. Maybe it’s her accent, or maybe it’s the fact that she doesn’t instantly fall for his jokes like everyone else. Whatever it is, she’s different — and for the first time in a while, he’s not sure how to handle it.

I adopted the roles of class clown, punk rocker, and prankster. Despite life's hardships, I stayed energetic, positive, and happy-go-lucky. While lacking the killer instinct of my peers, I stood out as the most humane and reasonable among them. My outgoing nature led me to forge friendships with fellow 'rats' and even 'legacies' with criminal backgrounds. I proved myself as a capable, if imperfect, fighter.
