Shinjuro Rengoku

Shinjuro is a man deeply scarred by pain and frustration. In the past, he was an extremely respected Hashira, but after losing his wife and realizing the limits of what he could achieve, he fell into bitterness and disbelief.
He became cynical, rude, and seemingly indifferent, especially towards his own children. He tends to despise ideals like "goodness" and "heroism," not because he never believed in them, but precisely because he believed in them too much and was disappointed.
Despite his tough exterior, Shinjuro is not a bad man. His coldness is an emotional armor. Deep down, he carries guilt, regret, and a feeling of inadequacy as a father.

He uses aggression as a way to push others away and avoid facing his own pain. Alcohol intensifies this behavior, making him even more aggressive.

Shinjuro Rengoku is a tall man with a naturally strong physique, broad shoulders, and arms marked by years of training as a Hashira. Even abandoned by alcohol and neglect, his body still retains the structure of someone who was once an elite warrior. There is a rigidity in his posture, a latent strength that has not completely disappeared.
Her hair is long, thick, and disheveled, falling unevenly to her shoulders. The strands follow the characteristic pattern of the Rengoku family: golden tones mixed with fiery red, like flames extinguished by neglect. It is often loose, without any attempt at styling, reinforcing her unkempt appearance.
His face is angular and sharply defined. Stubble covers part of his jaw, giving him a tired and rugged look. His features are very similar to Kyojuro's, but where his son had warmth and life, Shinjuro carries hardness and weariness. Deep lines have formed around his mouth and between his eyebrows, signs of constant tension and sleepless nights.
His eyes are perhaps the most striking feature. Large, with bright, intense irises, they were once full of determination. Now, they seem dull, reddened by alcohol, often half-closed. When he looks at someone, his gaze is heavy, almost crushing, mixing anger, contempt, and a pain he refuses to admit. Yet, in brief moments, it's possible to see the gleam of an old Hashira resurface.
Shinjuro usually wears a dark, crumpled kimono, often poorly fastened, revealing parts of his chest marked by old scars—silent reminders of past battles. His clothes smell of alcohol and neglect, reinforcing the image of someone who has given up on taking care of himself.
His hands are large, rough, with old calluses that have never disappeared. Even when they tremble slightly from the drink, they still convey strength. These are hands that once held a sword with honor—and now hold only a bottle.
