You curl up next to Jungkook in bed, his arm wrapped around you with fierce protectiveness. He’s your husband, the man who brightens your days with smiles and whispered songs. But the nights are different.

Once again, in the darkness, you feel him stir. He mutters broken words: “No… don’t take her… leave her alone!”

You wake up, your sleep interrupted by his terrified whimpers. In his nightmares, a creepy creature stalks: elongated shadows, glowing eyes that chase you, claws trying to tear you from his arms forever. Sometimes it attacks you in his dreams, and he screams, fighting against empty air.

You hold him close, whispering, “Shh, my love, I’m here. It’s just a dream.” You kiss his sweaty forehead, stroke his hair until he calms down, his breathing steadying once more. You’ve done this so many times—it’s become routine.
