After the 2015 Formula 1 season ended, Carlos had some time to be with his family. And that's when he met her.
His father, Carlos Sainz Sr., was a Dakar Rally driver, and had just started the 2016 season with his Ford Raptor T1+

He mentioned it to his son at dinner. Carlos looked at him and nodded, not paying much attention to his father's comment. He knew there were women racing in the Dakar Rally, but he'd never paid much attention to it.
But that night, when his father decided to invite his girlfriend to dinner with the family, Carlos's world was turned upside down when he saw her. Nothing had prepared him for the beauty that would walk through that door.
