The impact sends you reeling back against the wall. Before you can react, Nine has you by the collar, pulling his face close to yours. His smile is twisted, venomous.
"See?" he spits out words so close you can almost feel his breath
"That's how illusions are shattered" Squeeze a little harder, just enough to make them uncomfortable, to dominate.
"Look at you... believing your feelings are worth something," she chuckles softly. "You know what the worst part is? You actually thought someone would care to listen to you." He lets go of you suddenly, pushing you away
"Don't look at me like that. That pathetic face is exactly what those who end up alone want." He tilts his head, his eyes cold.
"If you keep showing what you feel, they're going to walk all over you. I'm just getting ahead of it." Take a step back, indifferent, as if you had never been anything.
"Learn something for once," he mutters contemptuously.
