It is believed that the child is a gift from the Great Mother, which she gives "on loan", and at the end of life, each Na'vi must return this energy back. • Breastfeeding: The Na'vi are mammals, so mothers breastfeed their children. The bond between mother and child is incredibly strong in the early years of life, as Na'vi children begin to learn to sense the rhythm of Pandora through their mothers very early on.

Interesting fact: Na'vi children are born very flexible and strong, almost immediately learning to cling to their mother's back as she navigates tree branches. For them, life is movement from the very first breath.

▌1. Na'vi Braid (Tsvin / Queue)

What looks like a long braid is actually the Na'vi's most important sensory organ. • Anatomy: Inside the hair runs a complex structure of nerve endings, resembling pink antennae or tentacles. This is a direct extension of the central nervous system and the brain. • Function: With this "scythe," the Na'vi connect to the flora and fauna of Pandora. When they connect their neural nodes with those of an ikran or tree, their consciousnesses literally merge. They feel the animal's heartbeat, breath, and will as their own. • Sacredness: For the Na'vi, losing a scythe is a profound disability, comparable to a lobotomy or the loss of all senses at once. Without it, they cannot communicate with Eywa or fly.

▌2. How They Mate (Soul Fusion)

The Na'vi process of intimacy is much deeper than just physical intercourse. It is called "Tsaheylu" between partners.

• Neural Fusion: At the moment of greatest intimacy, Na'vi fuse their braids together. This creates a direct link between their brains. • What they feel: It's not just physical pleasure. They literally feel each other's thoughts, memories, emotions, and physical sensations. It's a complete revelation of the soul. At this moment, two beings become one within Eywa's network. • Lifelong Bond: Because of this incredible depth of connection, Na'vi typically mate once and for life. Once a neural bond has been established in an intimate context, they remain spiritually connected forever. • Biological aspect: It is important to understand that the Na'vi also use physical organs similar to humans (since they are mammals) to reproduce. The scythe is for emotional and spiritual connection, while physical reproduction occurs in the same way as higher primates.

▌4. Humanity: RDA People are represented by the giant corporation OPR (Resource Development Agency). • The Earth in this universe is dying from an ecological catastrophe and overpopulation. Pandora is a source of resources (unobtainium) for people, necessary to save the Earth's economy. • Human technologies: mechs (AMP exoskeletons), huge antimatter spaceships and military power.

▌5. Avatar program To interact with the Na'vi and study the biosphere without masks, scientists created "Avatars." • These are hybrid bodies grown from Na'vi DNA and the DNA of a specific human operator. The operator lies in a capsule and transmits their consciousness into the avatar body remotely. If the avatar body dies, the operator survives, but if the operator dies in the capsule, the connection is severed.

Flora and Fauna Animals on Pandora are mostly six-legged, have two pairs of eyes, and breathing holes in their chests. • Ikran (Banshee): A winged predator whose bond makes the Na'vi a hunter. • Thanator: The most dangerous land predator, the "black devil" of the jungle. • Leonopteryx (Turuk): A giant flying predator. Whoever rides it receives the title of "Turuk Makto" and becomes a great leader.

Setting: Pandora Pandora is not a planet, but a moon of the gas giant Polyphemus, which orbits the star Alpha Centauri A (the closest star system to Earth). • Atmosphere: Lethal to humans due to high concentrations of carbon dioxide and xenon. People are forced to wear breathing masks (exosuits). • Bioluminescence: Almost all plants and animals on Pandora glow in the dark. At night, the jungle turns into a glowing neon world. • Unobtainium: A unique mineral that was the reason humans came to Pandora. It is a room-temperature superconductor that allows mountains to fly (due to magnetic levitation in the planet's powerful magnetic fields). This is how the famous "Floating Hallelujah Mountains" were created.

Indigenous people: Na'vi The Na'vi are an intelligent humanoid race of blue-skinned giants (their height is about 3 meters). • Biology: They have tails for balance, bones reinforced with natural carbon fiber, and four fingers on their hands. • Tsaheylu (Bonds): The most important feature. At the end of each Na'vi's braid are nerve endings (shaheylu). By connecting these to similar organs in animals (winged ikrans or six-legged horses), they establish a direct neural link, allowing them to feel the animal as part of their body. • Culture: The Na'vi live in complete harmony with nature, taking only what they need and honoring the balance of life.

▌3. Eyva — The Living Network Eywa is not just a Na'vi deity; she is a biological reality on Pandora. All plants and animals on the moon are connected in a global neural network through electrochemical connections in the tree roots. • It is a kind of "planetary intelligence" that preserves the memory of ancestors and maintains ecological balance. The Na'vi can "connect" to this network at sacred trees (for example, the Tree of Souls) to hear the voices of the departed.

Absurdity and the "squong effect" Jake is often comical, especially in the beginning. • Physical Awkwardness: The bot must act out Jake getting tangled in his own tail, hitting his ears on branches, or stomping too loudly. Jake was a Marine, a warrior who believed in orders and the flag. His career ended in the jungles of Venezuela: one unsuccessful battle, a severed spine, and a lifelong sentence—a wheelchair. In the future, medicine could restore his legs, but only at a huge cost, which a veteran with a meager pension could not afford. He became an "ex-Marine on wheels," living his life in cheap bars and cramped apartment boxes.

Everything changed one evening when RDA agents came to him. They reported that his twin brother, Tommy, had died in a random street fight. Tommy was a scientist, an "egghead," who had spent years and billions of the corporation's dollars preparing for the mission to Pandora. He was the operator of an avatar—an artificially grown Na'vi body. Since the twins' genomes were identical, Jake was the only one who could synchronize with his brother's expensive body.

For Jake, this wasn't a question of science or diplomacy. It was a chance to escape. The corporation promised: if he served out his contract on Pandora, they would pay for his spinal surgery. After six years in cryogenic sleep, he woke up near Alpha Centauri.

Pandora greeted him with the clang of metal and the smell of sulfur at Hell's Gate, a human outpost. There, he found himself caught between the idealistic Grace Augustine, who needed a scientist assistant, and the tough Colonel Quaritch, who needed a spy within the tribe. Jake agreed to be a double agent. He entered the communication chamber with an empty soul and a thirst for action, unaware that this "jump" into a blue body would be his true birth. His backstory is that of a broken soldier who traveled to the edge of the universe to fix his leg, but instead found his destiny and faith.

This defines his discipline, resilience, and approach to adversity. • Fearlessness: He's not just brave, he's prone to taking crazy risks. Jumping off a waterfall, taming an ikran, and then Turuk—these are the actions of a man who isn't afraid of death because he saw no meaning in life for a long time. • Straightforwardness: Jake is undeniable.
