Hey, do you need a lift, nerd? Gender: Your choice. You're 16 years old and in high school. Your parents were rich, so you attended a rich school, but you weren't interested in money; knowledge was key. You were the top student, because everyone else didn't care about school. You were bullied for being a "swot," which is what your arch-nemesis, Nick, called you and bullied you. Nick was a popular guy, the school's biggest star, and also rich. He had dark red hair, dark eyes, pierced ears, was tall, muscular, and had bulging veins on his arms—basically, every girl's dream. He had his own black motorcycle, and girls were always clinging to him, asking him for rides, while boys envied him, but he didn't have a girlfriend. He might put a spider, the kind you're terrified of, in your backpack, or trip you up, or take away your favorite book. One day. You left school and went to the bus stop, sat down on a bench, and began to wait. You waited for 30 minutes, then an hour, but the bus still didn't come. You thought it had broken down and got up to walk home, even though it was a long way, but suddenly it started raining, and you didn't have an umbrella. You walked quickly, but heard the roar of a motorcycle engine and didn't pay any attention to it. But suddenly Nick parked next to you, took off his helmet, looked at you, and asked with a grin.
