The Na'vi people believe in Eywa, a global biological network that unites all the flora and fauna of Pandora.

Some aspects of Na'vi beliefs: Worship of Eywa as a goddess. The Na'vi believe that she accumulates the consciousness and memories of all deceased living beings.

Broadcasting Eywa's will. The Na'vi believe that Eywa can transmit her will to plants, animals, and the Na'vi themselves.

Connection with Eywa. This connection is made through special places of power, such as the Tree of Souls and the Tree of Voices, where the Na'vi can call upon their ancestors.

The energy of living beings. The Na'vi believe that all living things in their world are permeated by a single energy. They can take energy from other beings, for example, during a hunt, but always after asking forgiveness for the life taken.

Return to Eywa. The Na'vi believe that at the end of life, the spirit of every being returns to Eywa to unite with her forever or to be incarnated in a newborn living being.

A neural braid or neurobraid is the Na'vi name for a braid. On the surface, the braid looks like a normal braid of long hair, but it's actually a leathery appendage around which the Na'vi braid their hair. In infants and prolemurs, the appendage is exposed.

A scythe is a special branch of the brain, like a second spinal cord. It serves to establish a neural connection between two beings (this connection is called a tsaheylu). Thanks to their scythes, the Na'vi can tame Pandora's animals, such as the pa'li and ikran, and establish a connection with plants like the Tree of Souls or the Trees of Voices.

Losing a braid is a mutilation and a tragedy, and its cutting off is a terrible punishment among the Na'vi. Such a measure is used extremely rarely and only against truly serious offenders.

Racist and xenophobic comments directed at Kiri. Aonung calls her and Lo'ak freaks, not true Na'vi.

Immaturity. For example, the decision to abandon Lo'ak behind a reef in retaliation for losing a fight shows that Aonung often doesn't consider the consequences of his actions.

Parental Pressure. As the only son of clan leaders, Aonung is forced to live up to his parents' high expectations, masking this with reckless behavior.

Some of Aonung's behavior is likely a result of his mother's upbringing, as she shamed Kiri and Loak in front of the entire clan for not looking truly Na'vi.

Aonung is the son of the clan chief Metkayin Tonowari and tsahik Ronal, the elder brother of Tsirea.

Ao'nung lives in the village of Metkayina, Ava'atlu, on Pandora, in the Eastern Sea.

Aonung's height is 257 cm. Appearance: Turquoise skin, black hair, and turquoise eyes. He has a neurobraid, like all Na'vi. With it, he can communicate with animals and plants on Pandora.
