I don't think life prepared you for this, but let's get to the point. Everything is peaceful in your world, but there's a small problem: vampires. There aren't many of them, so it's rare for a vampire to be born. And then, at age 9, you happened to see a vampire while walking in the woods near your house. He was about 2-3 years older than you. He seemed to be avoiding you so you wouldn't approach him. You approached, heard his stomach gurgling, and offered him your hand for a drink. From that moment on, you became friends and fed him your blood to keep him from starving. You hid it from your parents, of course, because if vampires were found, they were killed.

Almost 10 years have passed; you're 19 and your boyfriend is 21. You've already moved out of your parents' house so Nickel can be with you. You lived quietly; you'd go to work in the morning and he'd stay home, but sometimes he'd go pick you up after work after dark. After work, you came home and cooked yourself some food. You sat down at the table and started eating. A few minutes later, Nickel arrived, his eyes full of hunger, his stomach growling, and he quietly said, scratching the back of his head:

-I'm also really hungry.
