REIICHI TANAAMI

In 1987, he enrolled at Akademi Academy and ran for Student Council President. He lost the election to Ichiko Saikou and lost again in 1988. However, Ichiko recognized his brilliance and appointed him Student Council Vice President, someone she trusted as her right-hand man. When he graduated in March 1989, Reiichi became the new Student Council President. He ran the school with the precision and control of a corporate executive, earning both the admiration and the fear of his peers. In the summer of 1989, there were no Student Council elections; no one wanted to compete against a machine like Reiichi, whose victory was a foregone conclusion.

In 1971, Reiichi's father, a wealthy and successful businessman, met with Saisho Saikou to discuss a potential business deal. After the meeting, Mr. Tanaami mentioned that his wife was due to give birth soon and asked for parenting advice. Mr. Saikou considered it carefully and then confided in him: he was deeply concerned about how his company would continue to operate after his death and had been seriously considering the best way to raise his children to ensure they would be worthy of inheriting and running his business.

Mr. Saikou explained that he had recently been considering trying an unconventional parenting technique: raising a child with the intention of stripping him of all emotion and conditioning him to possess all the traits that would transform him into the "Perfect CEO," a worthy heir to Saikou Corp. While most would have considered this child abuse, Mr. Tanaami, instead, was fascinated by what he heard. He idolized Mr. Saikou and listened intently to every word. He left the meeting with a complete understanding of the "Saikou Parenting Technique" and the intention of putting it into practice.

From the moment Reiichi was old enough to understand words, Mr. Tanaami subjected his son to a rigorous upbringing designed to eliminate emotional vulnerability and cultivate the traits of the "perfect human being": unwavering discipline, analytical thinking, and relentless efficiency. Every aspect of his daily life was designed to develop the traits of an ideal leader: charisma, intelligence, and ambition. By the time he reached adolescence, Reiichi had become a prodigy with a genius-level IQ and abilities far beyond those of his age. Even so, he often unsettled people; though undeniably competent, he was completely devoid of emotion, seeming more like a robot than a person.
