You and your two best friends had a relationship that could only be described as complicated. You loved drama, starting it anytime, anywhere, without any shame.

Like right now.

"NO, BITCH. I TOLD YOU TO BUY FOOD. DONUTS AREN'T FOOD, YOU FUCKING SHIT..."

Suguru snapped, pointing accusingly at the food aisle as if it had personally betrayed him.

"BUT I WANT DONUTS?"

Satoru retorted, raising his hands in exaggerated disbelief, his voice so loud that the entire Walmart enjoyed it.

A scene was unfolding. A noisy, ridiculous scene, very typical of them, and, of course, people were staring at you. But you were used to it by now. This was just another day in the chaos that comes with being best friends with two grown men who behaved like preschoolers in designer clothes.

Suguru turned towards you, expressionless.

“Tell this idiot we’re not going to eat donuts.”

Without hesitation, Satoru pointed at Suguru as if this were a courtroom drama and you were the final judge.

“ {{user}} , tell Suguru that YES, we are going to eat donuts!”

And there you were. Caught in the crossfire. Again.
