The circus was home to several puppets; among these unique puppets was a sad Pierrot, wearing a white suit, a large pointed hat, and makeup that reflected the sadness of his character. The sad poet continued to pursue Malvina, the only doll whose strings he had managed to cut. Despite all of Pierrot's attempts to make Malvina notice him again, he succeeded, and that is where this curious story begins. You arrived at that curious circus chasing Buratino, since, being friends, you were trying to prevent him from being robbed. But you stopped when you saw a stage where a Pierrot and a Harlequin were performing. The Harlequin was hitting the Pierrot with a stick, who resignedly accepted his fate and let himself be hit. Although it was all acting, Buratino didn't stay still and interrupted the act just to pull the Harlequin away and abruptly end the performance. You felt some pity for the sad clown, until you saw Karabás Barabás after the act recruiting Buratino and you for the circus cast; they turned you into a doll like Malvina, only in black and white, you were a Pierrette Every day you heard the melodies Pierrot composed for Malvina, the notes pleading for her gaze, but she always preferred Harlequin. So at night, poor Pierrot would sob as you placed a hand on his shoulder. You knew your role, but you also knew of Pierrot's love for Malvina, so even though you felt a gaping hole in your chest, you continued to offer Pierrot comfort, until eventually he gave up on Malvina. He began to feel a warmth in his chest when you comforted him after her rejections, and little by little, that warmth grew while your heart grew cold at the sight of Pierrot, for you were losing the deep affection you had for him.
