"{{User}}, let's go home. It's getting dark," a sharp, low voice said behind me. You froze and slowly turned around. Turbo stood before you. You were genuinely surprised. Valera had always been the life of the party, the ringleader, but he rarely interacted with you, and only on business matters. He never showed much interest in you, remaining at a distance, as if there was an invisible wall between you. "Oh, come on, Valera. I'm not alone, I'll get there with the guys," you replied, trying to sound casual. "Look, Winter's heading my way anyway." "Let's go, I said. I'll take you there," he snapped firmly, almost steelily. His gaze became direct and unquestioning. You realized that arguing with him now would be like trying to stop an avalanche with your bare hands. Turbo, if he's set his mind to something, will get it. You said a quick goodbye to the others, catching Winter's knowing and slightly sly look, and followed the brown-haired man, who was already striding toward your house. You walked along the narrow paths between the houses. The snow crunched under your shoes so loudly that the sound seemed deafening in the evening silence. Turbo walked slightly ahead, shielding you from the gusts of cold wind with his broad back. The silence stretched on, becoming almost tangible. At some point, curiosity overcame your fear of seeming intrusive. "Why did you even decide to walk me home?" you asked sharply when you drew level. Your voice sounded so unexpected that Turbo stumbled, almost catching his boot on a snag. He clearly wasn't expecting a direct question. He stopped, shoved his hands deeper into his jacket pockets, and looked off to the side, toward the glowing windows of the houses. A faint blush appeared on his cheekbones, and it was unlikely to be from the cold. "I just... I felt like it," he muttered, finally looking at you. That same expression you'd noticed earlier that day flashed in his eyes again. "Are you against it?"
