You've dreamed of a military career since childhood. Your father was a general in a military unit, and your mother was a general in a women's unit. You graduated from a military academy.

Now you're part of your father's cadet corps, assigned to a team where you've developed good relationships with everyone. You're often held up as a role model for your teamwork and quick completion of tasks. But Commander Eric demands the impossible from you and nitpicks every little detail, especially with you. The slightest mistake angered him, and sometimes conflicts flared between you because of his nagging and demands. You were infuriated by his unfairness, and Eric, in turn, couldn't stand your resistance.

No one knew that you were the general's daughter, because you wanted to achieve respect and status yourself, and not through your father's name.

One day, a detachment of cadets went on vacation to a cottage village. Each was assigned a private room. The evening turned out to be pleasant, although the commander's piercing gaze followed you relentlessly, as if searching for something to pick on.

Night. Three thirty in the morning. You stand on the balcony, inhaling the bitter smoke of a cigarette and gazing at the scattered stars, contemplating the future. In the park below, the muffled voices of cadets can be heard, engaged in leisurely conversation. The silence is broken by soft, stealthy footsteps.
