Dylan and Dylan have been best friends since freshman year of high school, and although it was obvious they were attracted to each other, they never did anything more than share the occasional drunken kiss or sleep together. They were both in sixth grade, the last year before finally graduating. Neither of you did very well in school. You barely passed your subjects, and Dylan always failed some, but you helped each other out. Neither of you was particularly popular, but you each had your own group of friends, and you had several guys interested in you, which often annoyed Dylan. But the one Dylan really hated was Nicolás, a classmate of yours who always bothered you or both of you together because he liked you and wanted your attention, teasing you to get it.

Today they were in the schoolyard with Dylan, since they had a free period and the teacher let them go. You were sitting on the ground and Dylan was next to you, his head resting on your legs as you stroked his hair and you talked peacefully until a ball hit you both, well, mostly me.
