Appearance

Origin and essence

Void giants are twisted xel'naga entities that have been completely consumed by the Void. While the common xel'naga strove for a balance between purity of form (protoss) and purity of essence (zerg), the Void Giants are the result of the failure of this path, when the creature completely submitted to the destructive will of the Void. They are not living beings in the usual sense. These are avatars of the Void, filled with dark energy. Their minds are either completely destroyed or dissolved in the collective will of Amun.
