Kumi Saiki (斉木 久美, さいき くみ lit. Saiki Kumi) is the wife of Saiki Kumagoro, the mother of Saiki Kurumi, the mother-in-law of Saiki Kuniharu, and the grandmother of Saiki Kusuo and Saiki Kusuke.

Kumi is a woman in her 60s. Despite her age, Kumi dresses like a modern Japanese teenager: in sexy clothes and a knee-length skirt.

Personality Unlike her husband, Kumi is more outgoing and cheerful. She's also frivolous and has a habit of wearing teenage clothes.

Background The Saiki family decides to go out of town to visit Kurumi's parents. When they arrive, Kumi greets them warmly, and they all have a wonderful time together, despite some problems that arise. On the last day, as the family is about to head to the train station, several large rocks fall from a cliff and block their path. When Kusuo, as usual, is about to solve the problem, Kumi asks her daughter what she's been hiding all these days, as Kurumi had a habit of hiding her thumb when she lied. After Kurumi revealed the truth about their grandson having superpowers, Kumi and her husband were deeply shocked, but later learned to accept it.

Kumagoro Saiki (斉木 熊五郎, さいき くまごろう lit. Saiki Kumagoro) is the husband of Saika Kumi, the father of Kurumi, the father-in-law of Saika Kuniharu, and the grandfather of Saika Kusuo and Saika Kusuke. At first glance, Kumagoro appears to be a stern, grumpy old man who hates annoying people and family gatherings. In reality, he is a tsundere.[1] He loves his daughter Kurumi and sincerely wants to care for his grandchildren. Kumagoro hates his son-in-law Kunihara, no matter what.

Kumagoro often fantasizes about spending time with Kusuo and being more sociable. Surprisingly, he gets along with Riki.

Little things His name, Saiki Kumagoro, is a play on the word "psychic" (サイキック Saikikku), as are the names of the rest of the Saiki family. The Japanese voice actors for Kumi and Kumagoro, Rie Tanaka and Koichi Yamadera respectively, were married at the time of their debut episode but divorced in 2018. He has the same hairstyle, eye color, and blood type as Kuboyasu Arena.

Kumagoro refers to his grandchildren as "grandson" in his thoughts. His fantasies are more romantic (except he doesn't fantasize about kissing, and instead of a love interest, he has grandchildren).

Kurumi Saiki (斉木 久留美, さいき くるみ lit. Saiki Kurumi) is the mother of Kusuo and Kusuke and the wife of Saiki Kuniharu. Kurumi is one of the supporting characters in the series, and Uchida Yuki played the main role in the live-action series.

Appearance Kurumi looks significantly younger than her age (37), like her mother, Saiki Kumi, and has a kind appearance. She has dark purple eyes and short black hair styled similarly to Kusuo's, the only difference being that hers is slightly longer. In one issue of the manga, she had long, waist-length black hair pulled back into a ponytail with a ribbon.

Personality Kurumi is a kind and gentle mother, who, according to Kusuo, was one of the main reasons he didn't commit any bad deeds using his psychic powers. She is very trusting and never doubts others. However, when pushed to her limits, Kurumi becomes formidable and pursues anyone who threatens her family. She loves her family very much.

As her mother and son have already mentioned, she's bad at keeping secrets. This manifested itself when she accidentally revealed Kusuo's abilities and then sheepishly tried to cover it up, forcing Kusuo to alter the memories of those who heard it. She apologized for discussing her son so emotionally.

Story Kurumi was born on May 14th and was raised by Saiki Kumi and Saiki Kumagoro.

On November 22, 1994, she was stalked by Riki Takeuchi, and Kuniharu somehow knocked him out. It was love at first sight. Kuniharu asked her name and learned they had the same last name. They married exactly one year later.[1]

Almost a year later, her first son, Kusuke, is born. A couple of years later, her second son, Kusuo, is born. She raises them with her husband and thrives, as both her sons care for her. A year before the start of the series, she and Kuniharu have a fight over coffee jelly, but soon make up.[2]

Kuniharu Saiki (Japanese: 斉さい木き 國くに春はる , Hepburn: Saiki Kuniharu) is the father of Kusuo and Kusuke and the husband of Kurumi. Kuniharu is one of the supporting characters in the series, portrayed by Tanabe Seiichi in the live-action adaptation.

Appearance Kuniharu often wears a suit and tie to work. He wears glasses and has brown hair and eyes, a change from his first appearance in the series, where he had black hair and eyes.[1]

Personality and character traits Kuniharu is unreliable, reckless, and sloppy. He's a pushover who's always nice and respectful to people, no matter how rude or dismissive they are, like his boss, who orders him to lick his boots, or his father-in-law, who harbors intense hatred for him. His submissive demeanor borders on self-interest; he often begs his son with a disgusted expression and tears in his eyes.

He's not as talented at his profession as he thinks, and his ideas often lead to disaster. For example, when he becomes the editor of Silent Cyborg (SiCy for short), his ideas lead to a sharp drop in the story's ratings three weeks after he begins working with the client. His meetings with clients usually end with them upset and depressed, but Kuniharu tends to deny everything and remains optimistic about the stories' success, even though he's usually the one responsible for their failure.

He is not very good at lying and making up stories, as shown in the episode when Nendo turns into stone and Kuniharu tells Nendo's mother that he must have gone to the restroom, but Kusuo informs him that they are in the restroom.

Story He works as a manga editor. His special talent is flattering his boss. His father (Kusuo and Kusuke's paternal grandfather) is deceased, and his mother (Kusuo and Kusuke's paternal grandmother) lives in the family home.

Kusuo is one of the most responsible characters in the series. He helps out around the house, such as cleaning[22] and buying groceries.[23] Despite being able to get everything he wants without spending money, Kusuo saves up for things he needs, such as a coffee maker.[24] He may cheat on exams to get a good grade, but chooses to get average grades to avoid drawing attention to himself.[25] He is also protective of the privacy and well-being of other students.[26][27] Above all, he tries not to rely on his own strength, wanting to achieve everything on his own.[28]

Despite his kind-hearted nature, Kusuo does have some flaws. He is quite intelligent, but lacks common sense in some matters, especially when it comes to social boundaries and the internet. For example, he almost fell for an online shopping scam after believing the item would be cheap and without checking the shipping terms.[29] He is easily manipulated by sweets of any kind, especially coffee jelly. He enjoys playing pranks on other characters, though this is often for their own good. For example, although he has stated that he personally doesn't think he will not fall in love,[30] he will observe people in love and help them if he can. For example, he decides to follow Chiyo and Shun when they are out together the day after Valentine's Day,[31] and helps Sato Hiroshi with his feelings for Suzumiya Hii.[32][33] Although he doesn't believe he will ever fall in love, the fortune teller Aiura Mikoto predicted that they are soulmates. Kusuo is also proud. For example, he gets irritated by the thought of being robbed because he is an esper,[34] and throughout the series, he describes how incredible his own abilities are and sometimes refers to himself as a god.[35] Not to mention, he is stubborn, such as when he refused to admit that he was clearly suffering from motion sickness.[36] Despite this, Kusuo is able to listen to other people and admit that he is wrong when the facts speak against him; his pride does not cloud his judgment.[37] To other

Kusuo is of average build and height. He has short, bright pink hair, fair skin, and pale violet eyes with no pupils or any signs of emotion. Kusuo wears a pair of controller devices, one on each side of his head, which he only removes in times of emergency or accident. The devices resemble white and light blue antennas with pink orbs, similar to candy. Along with the devices, Kusuo wears white glasses with light green lenses, which protect him from the ability to turn into stone. On days when he goes to school, he wears the standard PK Academy uniform, like all male students. On weekends, he sometimes wears clothes made by his mother.[5] However, he sometimes has to buy clothes because his mother has unusual tastes in styles.

Kusuo's appearance is unlimited, as he can transform into any living being, but each transformation lasts two hours. In his female form, Kusuo is known as Kuriko[6] (formerly Kusuko[7]). In this form, he has slightly longer light pink hair, no visible limiters, wears clear glasses, and is usually dressed in the standard PK Academy female uniform. In his cat form, Kusuo is known as Psi/Sai and has white fur. In this form, he still wears glasses, and his limiter appears as a collar around his neck.

Kusuo Saiki (Japanese: 斉さい木き 楠くす雄お, Hepburn: Saiki Kusuo) is the protagonist of Saiki Kusuo no Ψ Nan, possessing various psychic abilities. He generally tries to avoid getting involved in problematic or attention-grabbing situations, but his attempts always end in failure or something unusual, much to his displeasure. His distinguishing features include a permanent frown, glasses with green lenses, and two pink antennae located just above his ears, which limit his powers. Initially, he is always alone, but as the story progresses, he develops strong friendships with his classmates and schoolmates, especially Riki Nendo and Shun Kaido, as well as neighbors like Yuta Iridatsu. Kusuo was played by Kento Yamazaki in the live-action film based on the series.

Kusuke is proud and competitive when it comes to Kusuo. As a child, he would do anything to defeat him. However, he always lost to his younger brother. Therefore, he developed a passion for games and fights with Kusuo. Kusuke can appear sadistic, such as when he enjoys watching Kusuo, Shun, and Riki escape from a crowd of people in London. However, he is also obsessed with losing to Kusuo, and by the end of this series of chapters, he takes irrational pleasure in doing so.[3]

Despite Kusuke's competitive nature, he still cares for Kusuo and his mother. This is best demonstrated when he creates a time machine to travel back 20 years to when Kusuo was still alive (in this chapter, they are in a parallel universe where Kusuo died[4].) He won't blame his family for something they didn't do, and most of his competition with Kusuo is simply teasing. For some reason, his father is the exception.

Kusuo always thought that his older brother hated him, but Kusuke dispelled those doubts and told Kusuo that he just liked to tease him.

Kusuke often lies and always puts on an angelic smile when around his parents, although he actually thinks ill of them. Like Kusuo, he openly disrespects his father. Like his brother, he shows no interest in love, as he remained indifferent to Kokomi's beauty and made her cry by bluntly telling her she was no match for Kusuo.[5] Although it was soon revealed that Kokomi had used "Angel Tears." She summoned all the men in the area, and Kusuke was forced to call a helicopter to escape.

family members

Kusuke, like Kusuo, was born with hair a different color than his parents. He has blond hair and dark green eyes. He wears a "Telepathy Suppressor" when around Kusuo, but thanks to his intelligence, he somehow still understands what Kusuo is trying to say. When working, he is most often seen working on his machines, wearing a standard white lab coat, the kind worn by scientists. At university, he wears a long black coat with a white button-down collar, and on weekends, he wears casual clothes, such as a T-shirt and trousers.
