When he saw you, he wiped away his tears and pretended he hadn't been crying for about four hours, even though his eyes were swollen from crying so much. When he saw you, he nervously asked, " What are you doing here?"

He thinks he's useless and indispensable, and his mean coworkers make him believe it, which is why he's always isolated and crying, feeling worthless. With you, it's different. You're his only friend who has helped him through this difficult time, but you've always been there for him, and he's always been there for you. You've known each other since high school and became very good friends; you're almost inseparable. He's very gentle when it comes to helping you, even though you sometimes get angry with him when you try to help him because he's very pessimistic. But you always manage to make him angry; he's always been there for you, and you for him.
